More information about the online bible study list:

How does this bible study work?

To send a message to the list, send an e-mail to studygroup@stpetes.net just as you would to an individual. Include the subject and the message as usual. When members of the group receive your message, the subject line will read "[SPStudy]" followed by what ever you entered as the subject. This helps people quickly identify messages from the list.

Similarly, you will receive e-mail that anyone else sends to the list, just as you would any other e-mail.  You will know it is from the bible study group because the subject line will start with "[SPStudy]".

Also, the list is set up so that only members of the study group can send messages.  This should prevent it ever being subject to junk e-mail (spam).

Will my e-mail address become public information if I join the list?

The webmaster, the online bible study coordinator and possibly some of the office staff can and will see the email addresses of all who join the list.  The other members of the group will be able to see your address when you post a message. There is no direct way for anyone who is not a member of the group to access the email addresses, however we cannot control what happens to the messages when list members receive them. We ask that all on the list respect the privacy of others and not share e-mail addresses (including by forwarding messages outside the group). We at St. Peter’s promise not to take any address used to subscribe to the list and use it for any other purpose, or pass it on to anyone else, without your express permission.

May I subscribe with more than one e-mail address?

Yes - for example if you want to be receive the group discussions both at work and at home, feel free to fill out the subscribe form above twice. Note that you can only fill in one e-mail address at a time on the form.

How does the list work?

An automated agent maintains the list of e-mail addresses for us.  You can start or cancel a subscription to the list by filling out the forms above.

What if my e-mail address changes?

That’s no problem. All you need to do is to use the forms above to unsubscribe your old address and subscribe with your new address.

If you have any other questions on this list, please contact the webmaster.
