St. Peter’s youth program is led by a solid team of committed adults who are aiming to provide a focal point from which the youth can attain a deeper knowledge of their faith, fellowship with other youth and adults, and outreach and service opportunities.

Program Information

The kids are divided into three groups: Blue Ridge, Harmony and Valley. During the summer we will be doing various fun activities with the intention of developing bonds amongst our kids, providing opportunities for them to invite friends, and strengthening inter -generational bonds. Check out the calendar for details.

In September, we will add faith development and service components. 6th and 7th graders will participate in a pilot program called Journey to Adulthood.  This first phase, called Rite 13, is a two-year program designed to build self-esteem in the context of the Christian community. Rising 8th through 12th graders will participate in an Alpha course, which will help give them confidence and security in their faith and galvanize them in their involvement with the church.

If you are interested in helping with this dynamic program or have children who would like to be involved, please call Cathy or Charlie Little at 554-2615 for more information.

Acolytes at the National Festival

Acolytes.

Young people in grade 6 and up also have the opportunity to assist in the leading our worship as crucifers, flag bearers, torch bearers and servers. The acolytes gather regularly for training and for fun.
